Pump makes a rattling or clattering noise from the wet end during operation

Safety first: Turn off power and close isolation valves before opening the pump.

• 1. Inspect pump interior: Remove the pump lid and basket, then disconnect unions and separate the pump housing from the motor to access the impeller.
• 2. Remove foreign objects: Take out any stones, screws, or other debris that may be striking the impeller.
• 3. Check impeller tightness: Ensure the impeller is firmly threaded onto the motor shaft. Tighten gently by hand while holding the shaft at the rear (per Espa instructions).
• 4. Replace damaged parts: If impeller vanes or the diffuser are cracked or broken, replace them with genuine Espa parts to avoid imbalance and further damage.
