Possible Causes
Tripped circuit breaker, Faulty pump on/off switch, Loose supply wiring at terminal block, Blown internal fuse in Espa control box
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not work on live circuits. Turn off the main breaker before opening any covers.
- 1. Check breaker and RCD: Verify that the dedicated breaker and any RCD/GFCI feeding the Espa pump are in the ON position and have not tripped. Reset if necessary.
- 2. Inspect external switch: If there is a wall switch or timer controlling the pump, bypass it temporarily (qualified person only) to confirm it is not faulty.
- 3. Open terminal box: Remove the motor terminal cover or Espa control box cover and check that all supply wires are firmly connected and not burnt.
- 4. Internal fuse: Some Espa control modules include a small cartridge or glass fuse. Inspect and replace with the same rating if blown.
- 5. Test voltage: Have an electrician measure voltage at the pump terminals. If correct voltage is present but the pump remains dead, the motor or control electronics are likely defective and should be replaced.
