Possible Causes

Incorrect line voltage to control box, Loose line wiring at terminal block, Tripped upstream breaker or GFCI, Internal control board power supply fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before opening any electrical compartment. Verify the pump cannot start unexpectedly.

Steps to check:

  • Verify supply voltage: Using a multimeter (by a qualified person), measure voltage at the Jacuzzi pump control box line terminals. Confirm it matches the nameplate rating (e.g., 230V).
  • Inspect breaker and GFCI: Reset the pool subpanel breaker and any GFCI outlets feeding the pump. If they trip again, stop and call a professional.
  • Tighten connections: With power OFF, remove the control box cover and check that line wires are tight at the terminal block and not heat-damaged.
  • Check internal fuses: Some Jacuzzi variable-speed pumps have internal low-voltage fuses on the control board. Inspect and replace only with identical type if blown.

If correct voltage is present and wiring is sound but E01 persists, the control board power supply is likely faulty and the drive/control module should be replaced.
