E03
Pump display shows E03 and motor does not run, often after a storm or wiring work.
Phase Loss / Single-Phase Operation Detected (for 3‑phase or inverter-driven models)
E04
Pump display shows E04 and shuts down after running for a short period, housing feels very hot.
Motor Overtemperature Protection
E05
Pump display shows E05 and motor will not start; sometimes occurs after lightning or power surge.
Drive Module Internal Fault / Self-Test Failure
E06
Pump display shows E06 and motor speed fluctuates or will not reach set RPM.
Motor Speed Feedback / Hall Sensor Error
E07
Pump display shows E07 and unit will not start; often associated with incorrect wiring or new installation.
Incorrect Line Frequency / Configuration Error
E08
Pump display shows E08 and the unit shuts down intermittently, especially during storms or when other large loads switch on.
Under/Over Voltage Protection
E09
Pump display shows E09 and the keypad is unresponsive or displays random characters.
Keypad / User Interface Communication Error
E10
Pump display shows E10 and the unit will not respond to external automation commands.
External Control / Communication Bus Fault
E11
Pump display shows E11 and the motor attempts to start but immediately stops with a loud click.
Stall Detection / Locked Rotor
E12
Pump display shows E12 and the unit runs only at a fixed low speed regardless of settings.
Derate Mode / Parameter Corruption
E13
Pump display shows E13 and the unit will not start when water level is low or skimmer is drawing air.
Dry-Run Protection / No-Flow Detected
E14
Pump display shows E14 and the motor runs briefly, then stops with a beeping alarm.
Ground Fault / Leakage Current Detected
E15
Pump display shows E15 and the unit cannot be controlled locally; only remote commands work (or vice versa).
Control Mode Conflict / Lockout
Symptom
Pump basket does not stay full of water; visible air bubbles and loss of prime.
Suction Air Leak
Symptom
Pump cannot be controlled by the pool automation system, but runs manually.
Automation Integration Failure
Symptom
Pump causes excessive vibration and movement on the equipment pad.
Imbalance / Mounting Issues
Symptom
Pump does not respond to scheduled start times or built-in timer settings.
Timer / Programming Fault
Symptom
Pump emits a burning smell or visible smoke from the motor area.
Motor Electrical Failure
Symptom
Pump housing leaks water at the joint between the pump and motor.
Failed Mechanical Seal
Symptom
Pump hums but does not start, then trips the breaker or internal overload.
Failed Start Circuit / Seized Motor
Symptom
Pump is extremely noisy, with grinding or screeching sounds from the motor area.
Worn Motor Bearings
Symptom
Pump makes a loud rattling or grinding noise from the wet end, especially with air in the system.
Cavitation / Impeller Damage
Symptom
Pump motor is very hot to the touch but still running.
Overheating Motor (Pre-Overload)
Symptom
Pump runs backwards (on 3‑phase commercial Jacuzzi pumps), causing poor flow.
Incorrect Phase Rotation
Symptom
Pump runs but filter pressure is unusually high and flow at returns is weak.
System Overpressure / Filter Restriction
Symptom
Pump runs but filter pressure is very low and there is little suction at the skimmer.
Suction Restriction / Air Ingress
Symptom
Pump runs but makes a high-pitched whine that changes with speed (on variable-speed models).
Inverter Switching Noise / Bearing Whine
Symptom
Pump runs but there is air constantly visible in the pool return jets.
Chronic Air Entrapment
Symptom
Pump runs but there is very low or no water flow at the pool returns.
Hydraulic Flow Restriction / Loss of Prime
Symptom
Pump runs but trips the GFCI outlet or breaker intermittently.
Ground Fault / Leakage Current
Symptom
Pump speed on a variable-speed Jacuzzi model changes unexpectedly or oscillates without user input.
Unstable Speed Control
Symptom
Pump starts and then shuts off after a few minutes, then restarts after cooling.
Thermal Overload Cycling
Symptom
Pump trips the thermal overload or breaker immediately upon start after being flooded or submerged.
Water-Damaged Motor
Symptom
Pump will not start at all, no display or lights on the Jacuzzi control panel.
No Power to Pump / Dead Control
Symptom
Water leaks from the clear pump lid area when the pump is running.
Leaking Pump Lid O-Ring
Symptom
Water leaks from the drain plug(s) at the bottom of the pump housing.
