Pump trips the thermal overload or breaker immediately upon start after being flooded or submerged.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not energize a pump that has been submerged. Turn off power at the main panel.

Steps after flooding:

Inspect for water line: Check the Jacuzzi motor and control box for signs of submersion.
Do not attempt to dry internally: Most flooded motors are not economically repairable for residential use.
Replace motor: Replace the motor assembly and inspect/replace the mechanical seal and bearings as needed.
Check electrical system: Have an electrician inspect the supply wiring and breakers for water damage.

Operating a flood-damaged motor is unsafe and can cause shock or fire.
