Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the main pool panel. Only qualified persons should open motor and drive compartments.
Steps to check:
- Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear cover of the Jacuzzi pump motor. Check that all three motor leads (for 3‑phase or inverter output) are tight and not burnt.
- Check for discoloration: Look for melted insulation or darkened terminals indicating overheating.
- Measure winding resistance: With power OFF and wires disconnected, measure resistance between each pair of motor leads. All three readings should be similar. A very high or open reading indicates a failed winding.
- Inspect drive module: If the motor windings test good, the fault is likely in the drive module output stage. Look for bulged capacitors or burnt components (visual only).
Phase loss faults typically require replacement of the drive module or motor. Do not bypass safety protections.
