Possible Causes

Low mains voltage at supply, Loose terminal connection in pump terminal block, Undersized or long extension cable causing voltage drop

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the circuit breaker feeding the pump and verify power is off with a meter before opening any covers.

  • Check supply voltage: Using a multimeter, measure voltage at the pump input terminals (L–N). For most Saci single‑phase pool pumps this should be around 230 V AC. If it is below the rated range (e.g. < 207 V), contact an electrician or your power provider.
  • Inspect wiring connections: Remove the electrical cover on the Saci pump motor. Tighten all terminal screws on L, N and Earth. Look for discoloration or melted insulation that indicates overheating.
  • Remove extension cords: If the pump is connected via a long or thin extension cable, connect it directly to a properly rated, dedicated circuit to reduce voltage drop.
  • Reset the drive: After correcting the supply, turn the breaker back on, wait 30 seconds, then press START on the pump controller to clear E01.

If E01 persists with correct voltage, the internal control board may be misreading voltage and should be checked by a technician.
