Possible Causes

Impeller jammed by debris or scale, Rusted or seized motor shaft, Swollen mechanical seal fragments blocking rotation, Foreign object in volute

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate electrical power and close suction/return valves before opening the pump.

  • Open pump housing: Remove the Saci pump lid and basket. Shine a light into the impeller area to look for visible obstructions.
  • Manually rotate shaft: Access the rear of the motor and try to turn the shaft using a screwdriver on the fan or shaft end. If it is stuck, gently work it back and forth to free it. Do not use excessive force.
  • Remove debris: If you can see debris in the impeller, remove the pump housing screws, separate the volute, and clear the impeller vanes.
  • Reassemble and test: Refit all gaskets and O‑rings, tighten bolts evenly, open valves, prime the pump, and restart.

If the shaft remains seized or E13 returns, the motor bearings or mechanical seal may have failed and the motor assembly should be replaced.
