Pump intermittently stops when it rains or when the equipment area is wet

Safety first: Disconnect power before inspecting for water ingress.

• Inspect seals: Check the control panel cover gasket and cable glands for cracks or gaps. Replace damaged gaskets and tighten glands.
• Improve drainage: Ensure the pump pad is above ground level and that water does not pool around the motor. Add drainage or raise the pump if necessary.
• Dry components: If moisture is found inside the terminal box or control housing, dry thoroughly and allow time for internal components to dry before re‑energizing.

Persistent moisture problems can lead to corrosion and electrical faults; consider adding a weatherproof enclosure for the pump controls.
