How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and lock out the breaker before inspecting moving parts.
- Check wet end: Remove the pump lid and basket. Shine a light into the impeller and remove any visible debris with pliers or a hook.
- Inspect impeller: If noise persists, disassemble the pump housing and inspect the impeller for broken pieces or rubbing against the volute.
- Check motor fan: At the rear of the motor, inspect the cooling fan and shroud for twigs, stones, or loose parts contacting the fan blades.
