Pump runs but there is no water flow or only a weak trickle from the pool returns

Safety first: Turn off the pump before opening any part of the system.

• Clean baskets: Remove and clean the Saci pump strainer basket and all skimmer baskets. Reinstall correctly.
• Prime the pump: Fill the pump housing completely with water, ensure the lid O‑ring is clean and lubricated, and tighten the lid firmly.
• Check for suction leaks: While the pump is running, look for air bubbles under the lid and in the pool returns. Tighten suction‑side unions and inspect for cracks in fittings.
• Inspect valves and lines: Make sure suction valves are fully open. If one line is blocked, try isolating it and running from an alternate suction point.

If flow does not improve, a professional may need to pressure‑test the suction line for underground leaks.
