Possible Causes
Hob not connected to power, Faulty ignition switch on gas tap, Failed spark generator module, Broken ignition wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Gas safety: Ensure all burner knobs are OFF before troubleshooting. If you smell gas, shut off supply and ventilate.
User checks:
- Verify the hob is plugged in and the socket has power (test with another appliance).
- Check that the circuit breaker for the hob's electrical supply is on.
- Try lighting the burner with a long match or gas lighter; if it lights manually, the gas supply is present and the issue is with ignition only.
If there is still no clicking on any burner:
- The spark generator or its supply may have failed.
- Replacement requires removing the hob top and should be done by a qualified gas technician.
