Possible Causes

Pan overheated due to dry boiling, Temperature sensor on induction coil misreading, Poor pan contact with glass surface, Faulty NTC sensor on induction module

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the affected zone and allow the pan and glass to cool completely before handling.

User checks:

  • Remove the pan and inspect the base for burn marks, warping, or severe discoloration. Replace damaged cookware.
  • Ensure there is sufficient liquid or food in the pan when heating; avoid running a zone with an empty pan.
  • Clean the glass surface and pan base to ensure good thermal contact.
  • After cooling, reset the hob at the mains isolation switch for 2–3 minutes and test again with a different, known-good induction pan.

If E1 recurs with multiple pans:

  • The temperature sensor (NTC) on the induction coil or the control electronics may be faulty.
  • Internal access requires removing the hob from the worktop and testing the NTC sensor resistance with a multimeter.
  • This work involves exposure to mains voltage and should be carried out by a qualified technician only.

If the error persists, arrange service to test and, if needed, replace the induction power module or NTC sensor.
