Possible Causes

Power-up with wet or covered control panel, Electrical noise during initialization, Faulty touch sensor IC on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Steps:

  • Turn off the hob at the mains isolation switch.
  • Thoroughly dry the control area and ensure it is free from any objects.
  • Wait at least 5 minutes, then restore power without touching the panel for 1–2 minutes to allow auto-calibration.
  • Try operating the hob again.

If Er22 reappears on every power-up, the touch control board is likely defective and should be replaced by an AEG service technician.
