Induction hob or ceramic hob shows flashing 'F' on a zone display

Note: A flashing 'F' is usually an information code, not a failure.

Steps:

• Place a magnetic, flat-bottomed pan on the zone (for induction models).
• Ensure the pan base covers the minimum area indicated in the manual.
• Center the pan on the zone marking.
• Try another pan known to work on other zones.

If 'F' appears even with correct cookware on multiple zones, the pan detection circuitry on the power module may be faulty and require professional diagnosis.
