Possible Causes
Moisture on ignition switches, Stuck ignition button, Faulty spark generator module, Loose ignition wiring to burners
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Gas safety: Turn all burner knobs to OFF. If you smell gas, ventilate the room and shut off the gas supply at the main valve. Do not use open flames or operate electrical switches.
Basic checks:
- Unplug the hob or switch off power to the ignition system.
- Dry the burner area and control knobs thoroughly; moisture can trigger F1.
- Check that the burner caps and crowns are correctly seated.
- Restore power and test ignition.
If F1 persists and no sparks are visible:
- The spark generator (ignition transformer) or wiring may be faulty.
- Access requires removing the hob top, disconnecting gas and electrical connections, and should be done by a qualified gas technician.
