Possible Causes
Moisture or grease on touch area, Cracked glass over control panel, Faulty touch sensor IC, Loose ribbon cable between UI and power board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Immediate steps:
- Switch the hob off using the main power key if possible.
- Clean and dry the control area thoroughly.
- Turn off power at the mains for 2–3 minutes, then restore and test.
If still unresponsive:
- Inspect the glass for visible cracks; if cracked, the glass top must be replaced (often together with the touch sensors).
- Internal inspection (technician): check the ribbon cable between the touch control PCB and power module for secure connection.
- If connections are sound, replace the touch control PCB.
