AEG
Cosmetic Damage / Heat Staining
Hob surface around zones discoloured or stained
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Boil-overs left uncleaned, Use of abrasive cleaners, Aluminium or copper pans leaving marks, Overheating of empty pans
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Steps:
- Allow the hob to cool completely.
- Use an AEG-approved ceramic hob cleaner and a scraper designed for glass hobs to remove burnt-on residues.
- Avoid abrasive pads or powders that can scratch the surface.
- Prevent future staining by wiping spills promptly and avoiding overheating empty pans.
Discoloration that does not clean off is usually cosmetic and does not affect function, but deep scratches may weaken the glass and warrant replacement.
