Possible Causes
Tripped circuit breaker, Blown internal fuse on power module, Loose connection at terminal block, Faulty mains filter or power module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Electrical safety: Before opening any panels, switch off power at the consumer unit. If you are not comfortable working with mains electricity, contact a qualified electrician.
User checks:
- Verify that the circuit breaker or fuse for the hob circuit has not tripped. Reset if necessary.
- Check that the cooker isolation switch (if fitted) is turned on.
- Confirm that other appliances on the same circuit are working to rule out a general supply issue.
Further diagnosis (technician):
- Remove the hob and inspect the terminal block for loose or burnt connections.
- Check the internal fuse(s) on the mains filter or power module and replace with identical rated parts if blown.
- If fuses blow again immediately, the power module is likely shorted and must be replaced.
