Possible Causes

Faulty temperature sensor on zone, Stuck relay feeding sensor circuit, Control board logic error

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Treat the zone as potentially hot until you are sure it is cold.

User steps:

  • Allow the hob to remain off for several hours and check if the H indicator clears.
  • Reset the hob at the mains.

If the indicator remains permanently on, a technician should test the temperature sensor or residual heat circuit on the control board and replace faulty components. The hob can usually still be used, but exercise caution.
