Possible Causes
Shorted NTC temperature sensor, Sensor wire shorted to chassis, Stuck closed oven relay on control board, Faulty electronic control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the cooker at the main switch or breaker. Allow the oven to cool completely before working inside.
- Visual inspection: Check inside the oven for foil covering the base or blocking vents, oversized trays, or anything that could trap heat. Remove obstructions and ensure ventilation slots are clear.
- Check sensor resistance: Access the oven temperature sensor as described for E01. Measure resistance at room temperature and compare to spec. A very low resistance (near short) can cause overtemperature readings.
- Inspect wiring: Look for melted insulation or wires touching the metal chassis. Repair any damaged wiring and secure away from hot surfaces.
- Control relay check: With power disconnected, inspect the electronic control board for burned spots or welded relay contacts. If the bake or grill relay appears damaged or if the oven continues heating uncontrollably when powered, replace the electronic control board.
- Replace faulty sensor: If the sensor is out of range or physically damaged, install a new oven temperature sensor.
- Test operation: Restore power and run the oven at a moderate temperature (e.g. 180°C) to verify stable heating without E02.
