Possible Causes
Shorted IGBT transistor on power board, Blown fuses on induction module, Damaged power module due to surge, Overheated power components
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the hob from mains. Induction electronics contain high-voltage capacitors that can retain charge; only trained persons should service the power board.
- Basic user checks: Confirm the correct cookware is used (ferromagnetic, flat base) and that the pan size matches the zone. Try another pan to rule out detection issues.
- Power reset: Turn off the hob at the breaker for 5–10 minutes to allow the electronics to discharge, then restore power and test again.
- Internal inspection (technician level): Remove the hob from the worktop and open the lower cover. Inspect the induction power module for burned components, cracked solder joints, or blown fuses. Replace any onboard fuses only with identical ratings and investigate cause of failure.
- Module replacement: If the IGBT or other power components are visibly damaged, replace the entire induction power module. Component-level repair is not recommended without proper equipment.
- Final test: Reinstall the hob, ensuring correct earthing and cable connections, then test all zones.
