Possible Causes
Defective NTC sensor on glass, Sensor detached from glass, Broken sensor wiring, Faulty main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the hob from mains power. Glass and components may still be hot; allow to cool.
- Cool-down reset: Wait until the hob is completely cool, then restore power. If E06 clears, it may have been a temporary overtemperature condition.
- Access sensors: Remove the hob from the worktop and open the underside cover. Locate the small NTC sensors attached to the underside of the glass near each zone.
- Check attachment: Ensure each sensor is firmly clipped or bonded to the glass. Reattach any loose sensors using the correct clips or thermal adhesive as specified by Amica.
- Test sensor resistance: Measure resistance of the affected sensor at room temperature and compare with service data. Replace the hob glass temperature sensor (NTC) if open, shorted, or out of range.
- Control board: If sensors and wiring are good, the fault may lie in the main control board, which will require replacement by a qualified technician.
