Possible Causes

Defective cavity NTC sensor, Broken sensor wiring, Failed cooling fan, Faulty control board temperature input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the cooker from mains and allow it to cool.

  • Check cooling fan: With the rear panel removed, inspect the oven cooling fan (not the internal convection fan) for obstructions and free rotation. Replace if seized or noisy.
  • Test cavity sensor: Locate the cavity temperature sensor (often at the rear of the oven cavity). Measure its resistance at room temperature and compare with spec. Replace if open, shorted, or out of range.
  • Inspect wiring: Follow the sensor wires to the control board, checking for damage or loose connectors. Repair as needed.
  • Control board: If fan and sensor are good, the electronic control board may misread temperature and keep the fan running or block heating. Replace the board if no other faults are found.
  • Test: Reassemble, restore power, and run a heating cycle to confirm normal operation and that E20 is cleared.
