• Check gasket: Examine the oven door gasket around the cavity. Replace if it is flattened, torn, or missing sections.
• Door alignment: Remove the door (most Amica doors lift off at a specific angle). Inspect for warping and gently adjust if slightly twisted. Do not force glass panels.
• Replace hinges: If the door still does not close tightly, replace both oven door hinges as a pair to ensure even tension.
• Test seal: Close the door on a strip of paper at several points around the frame. You should feel resistance when pulling the paper; if it slides out easily, further adjustment or parts replacement is needed.
