Possible Causes

Failed power relay on main PCB, Burnt track or component on electronic control board, Shorted wiring harness between control and power module

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the range from mains power by switching off the circuit breaker or unplugging it. Do not work live on an Ariston range—internal parts carry lethal voltages.

  • Power reset: Turn off power for 5–10 minutes, then restore power and reselect a basic oven function (e.g. conventional bake at 180°C). If F01 reappears immediately, continue below.
  • Access control board: Remove the rear cover or upper control panel cover (varies by model). Take a photo of all wiring before disconnecting anything.
  • Inspect PCB: Look for burnt spots, cracked solder joints around the main relay, or swollen capacitors on the Ariston control module. Any visible damage usually means the board must be replaced.
  • Check wiring harness: Verify that the multi-pin connectors from the control board to the power module and to the oven elements are fully seated and not heat-damaged or discoloured.
  • Test continuity: With a multimeter (power still disconnected), check continuity across the main relay contacts when the relay is manually actuated (if accessible) or follow the service manual test points. An open relay when commanded closed indicates a failed board.
  • Replace board if needed: If the relay or PCB is faulty, replace the complete Ariston electronic control board with the exact part number from the model’s parts list. Transfer each connector one by one to avoid miswiring.

When to call a technician: If you are not comfortable testing live circuits or the board shows complex damage, have an authorised Ariston technician replace and program the control module.
