Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between touch panel and main board, Damaged touch control panel, Faulty main control board interface circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the control panel.

  • Remove control panel: On Ariston ranges, remove the screws along the top or inside the door trim to release the front control fascia. Carefully pull it forward.
  • Check ribbon cable: Locate the flat ribbon cable from the keypad/touch panel to the main PCB. Reseat both ends by gently pulling out and reinserting, ensuring it is straight and fully engaged.
  • Inspect for moisture/grease: Look for signs of liquid ingress or grease on the keypad board. Clean lightly with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry fully.
  • Test after reseating: Reassemble loosely, restore power, and test buttons. If F06 persists or some keys do not respond, the touch panel is likely faulty.
  • Replace UI panel: Order the correct Ariston control fascia or touch panel assembly by model number. Transfer any brackets and refit, ensuring no pinched cables.
  • Board replacement: If a known-good panel still shows F06, the main control board interface may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
