How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before removing the control panel.
- Reset clock: After a power cut, some Ariston ovens require the clock to be set before any function works. Try setting the time according to the user manual. If F40 persists, continue.
- Inspect buttons: Check that the timer buttons are not stuck or physically damaged. Clean around them to remove grease.
- Access clock module: Remove the control panel fascia and locate the clock/timer PCB (sometimes integrated with the main board).
- Check connections: Reseat the connectors to the clock module. Look for burn marks or corrosion.
- Replace module: If the clock remains non-functional or F40 persists, replace the clock/timer module or the entire control board assembly as specified for your Ariston model.
