Possible Causes
Door not locking correctly, Faulty pyrolytic temperature sensor, Defective lock feedback switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the lock or sensor. Do not bypass safety devices during pyrolytic operation.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and the seal is intact. A misaligned door can prevent the lock from engaging.
- Test lock operation: With power on, start a pyrolytic cycle and listen for the lock motor. If it does not run, test the lock motor and its wiring with power off.
- Inspect pyro sensor: Locate the high-temperature sensor used for pyrolytic mode (often separate from the normal NTC). Test its resistance according to the service manual. Replace if open or shorted.
- Replace lock assembly: If the lock motor or feedback switch is faulty, install a new Ariston pyrolytic door lock assembly.
