Possible Causes
Dirty or blocked burner ports, Misaligned burner cap, Faulty or dirty spark electrode at that burner
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the burner knob and ensure there is no continuous gas flow before cleaning. Disconnect power to avoid accidental sparking.
- Clean burner: Remove the burner cap and head. Soak in warm soapy water and use a soft brush to clear all gas ports. Dry thoroughly.
- Check alignment: Refit the burner head and cap, ensuring they sit flat and correctly located on the base.
- Inspect electrode: Clean the electrode tip with a non-abrasive pad. Ensure the gap between the electrode and burner is similar to other working burners.
- Test ignition: Restore power, turn the knob to ignite, and check for a strong spark and proper flame. If still no spark at that burner, replace the electrode for that burner.
