Clicking or rattling noise from inside the cooktop when heating zones cycle on and off.

• Step 1 – Determine if noise is normal: Occasional soft clicks when zones switch power are normal. Loud, irregular rattling is not.
• Step 2 – Check installation: Ensure the cooktop is firmly fixed in the countertop and that no loose items are touching the underside.
• Step 3 – Internal inspection (technician): Open the underside and check for loose screws, brackets, or components. Tighten as needed.
• Step 4 – Inspect relays: If a relay is excessively loud or chattering, the control board may need replacement.
