Possible Causes
Partially blocked injector, Incorrect low‑flame adjustment, Low gas supply pressure, Faulty gas valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the burner and close the gas supply if you suspect a leak. Work in a well‑ventilated area.
- Step 1 – Clean burner and injector: Remove burner parts and clean as described previously. If accessible, gently clean around the injector with a soft brush; do not insert hard objects into the jet.
- Step 2 – Test other burners: If all burners are weak, the issue may be with gas supply pressure. Contact your gas provider or a technician.
- Step 3 – Adjust minimum flame (technician): Remove the control knob and adjust the low‑flame screw on the gas valve using a small screwdriver, following Balay’s service instructions. Set the flame so it is stable and does not go out when turning quickly from high to low.
- Step 4 – Check gas regulator: For LPG installations, verify that the correct regulator is installed and functioning.
Do not enlarge injectors to increase flame; this is unsafe and will cause improper combustion.
