Possible Causes

Open-circuit temperature sensor, shorted temperature sensor, damaged sensor wiring harness, failed main oven control board (PCB)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the range from mains power by switching off the circuit breaker or unplugging it. Do not work on live circuits.

  • Access the sensor: Open the oven door and locate the temperature sensor probe at the rear wall (usually top left or top center). Remove the mounting screws and gently pull the sensor forward.
  • Check connections: Inspect the sensor plug and wiring for burns, corrosion, or loose connections. Reseat the connector firmly.
  • Test the sensor: Using a multimeter set to resistance (ohms), measure across the sensor terminals. At room temperature, most Beko NTC sensors read roughly 500–1100 Ω (check your model’s service data). Infinite resistance indicates an open sensor; near 0 Ω indicates a short.
  • Inspect harness: If the sensor tests good, trace the harness from the sensor to the main control board behind the control panel. Look for pinched, cut, or burned wires and repair or replace as needed.
  • Replace parts as needed: If the sensor is out of spec, replace the oven temperature sensor. If wiring and sensor are good but E01 persists, the main control board (oven PCB) is likely faulty and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
