Possible Causes
Blocked cooktop cooling vents, failed cooling fan, overheated induction power module, poor installation with inadequate airflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the cooktop from mains power before removing it from the worktop.
- Check ventilation: Ensure there is sufficient clearance under the cooktop as per Beko installation instructions. Remove any stored items blocking airflow.
- Inspect cooling fan: Access the underside of the cooktop and locate the cooling fan. Check that it spins freely and is not obstructed by debris.
- Test fan operation: With the unit reconnected and carefully powered (only if competent), start a low-power setting and listen for the fan. If the fan does not run, the fan motor or its supply circuit may be faulty.
- Clean air paths: Vacuum dust from intake and exhaust vents and around the fan and heat sinks.
- Replace components: Replace the cooling fan if it does not run or is noisy. If E08 persists despite proper cooling, the induction power module may be heat-damaged and require replacement.
