Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation, prolonged high-power operation, failed temperature sensor on heat sink, cooling fan failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the cooktop and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before further checks.
- Clear ventilation: Ensure that the underside of the cooktop is not obstructed by drawers or stored items. Maintain the clearances specified in the installation manual.
- Check fan and vents: With power restored, run the cooktop at a low setting and listen for the cooling fan. If it does not run, refer to fan diagnostics (see E08).
- Avoid overheating use: Avoid running multiple zones at maximum power for extended periods without adequate ventilation.
- Service sensor/module: If E10 recurs quickly even with good airflow and a working fan, the temperature sensor on the power module or the module itself may be faulty and should be replaced by a service technician.
