Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, seized fan blades, wiring fault to fan motor, faulty fan relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before removing the rear panel.
- Check fan movement: From inside the oven, try to spin the convection fan (behind the rear panel) by hand. If it is stiff or jammed, the motor may be seized.
- Access fan motor: Remove the rear cover of the oven cavity to expose the fan and motor. Clean any heavy grease or debris.
- Test motor: Disconnect the motor wires and measure resistance across the terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- Inspect wiring and connectors: Look for heat-damaged wires or loose spade terminals at the motor and control board.
- Replace motor or board: Replace the convection fan motor if it is open or seized. If the motor is good but not receiving power when fan mode is selected, the fan relay on the control board may be faulty and the board should be replaced.
