Possible Causes
Firmware fault in control board, corrupted configuration data, loose communication cable between user interface and power module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the cooktop from mains power.
- Power reset: Leave the cooktop disconnected for at least 5 minutes to allow internal capacitors to discharge, then reconnect and test.
- Check internal connections: Remove the cooktop and bottom cover to access the control electronics. Reseat all multi-pin connectors between the user interface board and power modules.
- Inspect for damage: Look for moisture, corrosion, or burn marks on the boards. Address any signs of water ingress by drying thoroughly and correcting the source of leaks.
- Board replacement: If E40 persists, the main control board may require replacement. Firmware updates, if available from Beko, should only be applied by authorized service centers.
