Possible Causes
Faulty door switch, misaligned door causing poor switch engagement, broken switch actuator, wiring fault to control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the door switch area.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and the hinges are not bent. Adjust or replace hinges if the door sags.
- Locate door switch: On many Beko ovens, the door switch is located behind the front frame near the top. Remove the front panel trim if necessary.
- Test switch: With a multimeter, check continuity of the switch while pressing and releasing the actuator. Replace the switch if it does not change state reliably.
- Inspect wiring: Verify that the switch wires are intact and firmly connected to both the switch and control board.
- Reassemble and test: After replacing or adjusting the switch, reassemble the front panel, restore power, and test oven operation.
