Possible Causes
Shorted or open meat probe jack, Damaged probe cable, Moisture in probe connector, Faulty probe detection circuit on EOC
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring.
- Remove probe: If a meat probe is plugged in, remove it and wipe the jack dry. Restart the oven to see if F13 clears.
- Inspect probe and jack: Check the probe tip and cable for cuts or kinks. Inspect the jack inside the oven for corrosion or food residue; clean gently.
- Test probe resistance: Measure resistance across the probe terminals; compare to Blomberg specifications. Replace if open or shorted.
- Check wiring to EOC: From the rear, trace the probe wiring to the control board and ensure connectors are secure.
- Replace probe or EOC: Replace the meat probe first. If F13 persists with a new probe and good wiring, the EOC may need replacement.
