Possible Causes

Broken oven temperature sensor, Disconnected or broken sensor wiring harness, Corroded sensor connector at EOC

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing rear panels or wiring.

  • Inspect sensor inside oven: Locate the sensor probe on the rear wall. Gently tug to ensure it is firmly mounted and not loose or broken.
  • Access sensor wiring: Pull the range forward and remove the rear cover. Find the two-wire sensor harness. Check for breaks, burns, or disconnected plugs.
  • Test sensor continuity: With a multimeter, measure resistance across the sensor leads. An open circuit (infinite resistance) indicates a failed sensor that must be replaced.
  • Check connectors: Clean any corroded terminals and ensure the connector is fully seated on the EOC.
  • Replace sensor: If open or out of spec, replace the oven temperature sensor with the correct Blomberg part.
