How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before working on the appliance.
- Visual inspection: Remove the rear cover and inspect the sensor wiring for melted insulation or contact with metal chassis.
- Test sensor resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature. A very low reading (near 0 Ω) indicates a shorted sensor.
- Check harness: If the sensor tests normal, inspect the harness from sensor to EOC for shorts to ground. Repair or replace damaged wiring.
- Dry connectors: If there are signs of moisture (from steam or cleaning), dry the connectors thoroughly and reseat them.
- Replace sensor or harness: Install a new sensor or harness as needed, then clear the error by cycling power.
