• Check door alignment: Ensure the door closes evenly and the latch engages the frame properly. Adjust hinges if the door is sagging.
• Inspect latch and strike: Look for bent latch hooks or damaged strike plate. Replace if deformed.
• Access lock motor: Remove the top or rear panel to reach the lock motor assembly. Check for binding in the linkage and clean any heavy grease or debris.
• Test lock switches: Use a multimeter to verify that the lock position switches change state when the lock is manually moved. Replace the lock assembly if switches do not operate correctly.
• Replace lock assembly: If the motor is weak or noisy and F9 persists, install a new door lock motor assembly.
