Possible Causes
Wet or dirty igniter electrode, Stuck burner switch on valve stem, Moisture in ignition harness, Misaligned burner cap causing poor flame contact
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off all burners and disconnect power to the range or cooktop.
- Dry igniters: If the issue started after cleaning or a spill, remove burner caps and let the area dry completely. You can use a fan to speed drying.
- Clean electrodes: Wipe the igniter tips and surrounding area to remove grease and residue.
- Check burner caps: Ensure caps are properly seated and flames are even around the burner. Poor flame contact can prevent the module from sensing flame.
- Inspect burner switches: Under the top, each valve has a small switch. Check for signs of moisture or corrosion. If one switch is stuck closed, the module will click continuously. Replace the faulty switch harness if needed.
