Possible Causes
Open bake heating element, Burned wire at bake element terminal, Faulty bake relay on EOC, Loose connector at element
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the oven back panel or element.
- Visual inspection: Look at the bake element inside the oven for blisters, breaks, or burn marks.
- Test continuity: Remove at least one wire from the bake element and measure resistance. An open reading indicates a failed element.
- Check rear connections: From the back of the range, inspect the element terminals and wiring for burns or loose connections. Repair as needed.
- Replace element: Install a new Blomberg bake element if it is defective. If the element and wiring are good, the EOC bake relay may be faulty and require replacement.
