Electric ceramic or radiant cooktop zone does not heat at all on a Brandt range or hob.

Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains and wait for all zones to cool before removing the glass top.

Steps:

• Check indicator: If the zone indicator light never comes on, suspect the switch or control. If the light comes on but no heat, suspect the element.
• Access element: Remove the hob from the worktop and carefully lift the glass surface to expose the radiant elements.
• Inspect element: Look for visible breaks or burn marks in the heating coil.
• Test continuity: Disconnect the element wires and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed element.
• Replace faulty part: Install a new radiant element or power regulator (energy regulator) as required.
