Possible Causes

Tripped household circuit breaker, Loose mains terminal block connection, Defective power filter board, Faulty user interface PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the cooker’s circuit breaker and verify power is off before removing any panels. Mains voltage is lethal.

  • Check household supply: Verify the Candy range/cooktop is on a dedicated circuit. Reset the breaker and test a different appliance on the same outlet/circuit if possible.
  • Inspect power cord and terminal block: With power OFF, remove the rear cover and check the mains terminal block for burnt wires, loose screws, or discoloration. Tighten loose terminals and replace any burnt wiring.
  • Check power filter/EMI board: On many Candy glass-ceramic and induction models, the mains enters a small power filter board. Inspect for blown tracks, bulged capacitors, or burn marks. Replace the power filter board if damaged.
  • Test user interface PCB: If the display briefly lights then shows E01 and shuts down, disconnect and reseat the ribbon cable between the user interface PCB and the main power module. If still dead, the user interface PCB may need replacement.
  • When to call a technician: If you are not comfortable working with live voltage or if the main power module shows signs of damage, contact an authorized Candy service center.
