Possible Causes

Incorrect wiring (single-phase vs three-phase), Low or high mains voltage, Loose neutral connection at terminal block, Defective power filter or main board sensing circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Only measure mains voltage if you are trained and have appropriate tools. Otherwise, call a qualified electrician.

  • Check installation wiring: Compare the wiring at the terminal block with the Candy installation diagram (single-phase or two/three-phase as applicable). Correct any miswiring.
  • Inspect neutral and earth: With power OFF, tighten all terminal screws. Look for signs of overheating or discoloration on the neutral terminal.
  • Measure supply voltage: With a multimeter and proper safety precautions, verify that the voltage at the terminal block is within the range specified on the rating plate (typically 220–240 V). If outside range, consult an electrician.
  • Check power filter board: If wiring and supply are correct, but E04 persists, inspect the power filter/EMI board and main power module for burnt components. Replace the defective board.
