Possible Causes
Shorted IGBT transistor on power module, Shorted induction coil, Damaged snubber components on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: This fault involves high-energy power electronics. Do not attempt component-level repair unless you are qualified. Always disconnect mains before inspection.
- Visual inspection: Remove the cooktop and bottom cover. Inspect the power module for burnt areas, cracked components, or blown tracks.
- Check induction coil: Disconnect the affected zone’s coil and measure its resistance. A dead short or open circuit indicates a faulty coil that must be replaced.
- Module replacement: If the coil is normal but the board shows damage or E07 persists, replace the entire power module for that zone. Candy typically supplies the module as a complete assembly.
- Do not bypass protection: Never bridge fuses or protection devices; this can cause fire or further damage.
