Possible Causes
Cooling fan failure, Blocked air intake or exhaust, Poor heatsink contact, Excessive ambient temperature in cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the cooktop or base cover.
- Check installation clearances: Ensure the cabinet cut-out and ventilation openings match Candy’s installation instructions. Remove any panels or items blocking airflow.
- Inspect and clean fan: Access the underside and check the cooling fan. Remove dust, grease, or debris from blades and vents. Confirm the fan spins freely.
- Test fan operation: With the unit reassembled and powered, start a zone and listen for the fan. If it does not run, replace the cooling fan assembly.
- Check heatsink mounting: Verify that the power module is firmly attached to its heatsink and that any thermal pads are intact. If the module has been replaced previously, ensure correct reinstallation.
