Possible Causes
Open circuit in induction coil, Broken wiring from coil to power module, Failed IGBT or driver circuit on that channel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and verify with a tester before touching internal wiring.
- Test other zones: Confirm that other zones operate normally. If only one zone shows E09, the fault is localized.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the cooktop and check the harness from the affected coil to the power module. Reseat connectors and look for burnt or broken wires.
- Measure coil resistance: Disconnect the coil and measure its resistance. Compare with a known-good zone. Replace the coil if open or significantly different.
- Replace power module channel: If the coil and wiring are good, the power module’s channel is likely defective. Replace the power module assembly.
